| JUNCTION OF THE GOLD TRAILS|
Located at the junction of the historic Cariboo Gold Rush Trail, Clinton is an example of the rich history of the Cariboo. The Village of Clinton is located on Highway 97, four hours from Vancouver and 3 hours from Whistler, the site of the 2010 Olympic games, has much to offer visitors, new businesses or residents.
Clinton offers unlimited recreational opportunities, including hunting, fishing, swimming, hiking, horseback riding and camping, four-wheel driving and is known as the Guest Ranch capital of British Columbia. The curling rink, out-door skating rink and fabulous cross country ski trails provide winter activities for the Clinton area along with snowmobiling and ice fishing.Community activities include minor and senior baseball, hockey and curling. A visit to the historic Clinton Museum is a testiment to days gone by. Originally a one room schoolhouse, this building was used as a courtroom by the famous Judge Matthew Begbie when riding circuit.
Industrial potential is varied. Key employer is West Fraser Timber Mill ten miles north of Clinton. In the village there are fully serviced residential and commercial propetries available at very reasonable prices, with major trucking companies passingthrough daily.
